World Luxury Brand Directory

Our objective is to identify all luxury brands worldwide and to list them in this directory. On the one hand, „The Concept of Luxury Brands” provides the basic definition and categorization of luxury brands and therewith should help decide, to the best degree possible, whether any brand belongs to the luxury segment. On the other hand, the “World Luxury Brand Directory” lists the brands that meet our definition; so the concept determines the meaning of luxury brands (=intensional definition) and the directory lists the objects of this category (=extensional definition). The database currently contains 668 luxury brands. The world’s most well-known luxury brands (at least in their home markets) are listed below; the larger parts of brands are accessible only for registered users. Please note that many entry-level luxury brands are better-known than the elite-level luxury brands.
